NORTH Albury’s off-season recruiting has continued apace with the signing of Albury midfielder Dom Brew.

The young prospect was limited to just a handful of senior games last season, with Hoppers assistant coach Clint Gilson happy to give the teenager a shot.

“He’ll be a really handy addition to our side,” he said.

“Obviously he comes from a very high quality club in Albury, their record speaks for itself.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how he goes, he was highly rated at the Tigers from what I understand.

“Being the quality side Albury are, Dom just struggled to get a look in.

“There’s certainly going to be opportunities there for him of he works hard enough.”

Brew said he was excited to begin training at his new club after spending a number of years with the Tigers.

“I want to establish myself as a senior player,” the 18-year old said.

“I’m not leaving Albury on bad terms or anything, they’ve done a lot for me over the years and I’m very thankful to have been a part of that.

“I think North Albury are a club on the rise and I’m really excited to be a part of it.”

Brew is the second key signing for the Hoppers in the off season so far.

They had earlier secured the services of the Thurgoona ruckman John Willis shortly after the season came to a close.
