LastSunday Mac Dawson won his second Scone Golf Club Championship after having two solid rounds on the weekend of 73 and 74 to total 296 for the four rounds.
Scone Golf Club Championships A Grade winner, A Grade nett winner and overall club champion Mac Dawson with Ray Weekes Cup overall nett winner Troy Collison.
He was a convincing winner over runner up Sean Constable.
In B Grade the winner was Scott Reid who finished with 85 to total 354, three shots ahead of Andy Phelps and Paul Smart.
C Grade was won by the improving Troy Collison.
He had his best round ever of 82 on the last day to total 355 and say goodbye to C grade for some time. Runner up was Trevor Wilson on 373.
The senior scratch winner was Sean Constable 320, from Mick Reynolds 327.
To top off his win Collison also took out the best nett score for the Ray Weekes Cup with a score of 279 after his super round of 64 nett on the final day.
In the A Grade nett Mac Dawson completed the double with 288, from second placed Sean Constable.
The B Grade nett winner was Andy Phelps with two rounds in the 60’shelping his cause.
He won by 15 shots to Geoff Barton.
The C Grade event was won by Kevin Thompson by a couple of shots to Trevor Wilson, but Wilson managed to win the senior nett from Geoff Barton and Charlie Manning who were tied seven shots behind.
In the daily events from the weekend, on Saturday the men played for the Two Dave’s Trophy (Dave Casson and Dave O’Brien).
The winner was Kevin Thompson who had 68 nett.
The grade winners were: A Grade Mac Dawson 70 nett, B Grade Phil McGuirk 71 nett and C Grade John Kevans 72 nett.
The NTPs were won by Phil McGuirk on the 2nd/11th at 1 metre and on the 8th/17th by Alan Wood, 1.95 metres.
The ball winners were: Kevin Thompson 68, Mac Dawson 70, Phil McGuirk, Blake Murphy 71, John Kevans, Lindsay Hodge 72, Clayton Rogers, Brenan Reeves, Charlie Manning, Simon Groom, Jeff Harrington, Trevor Wilson, Brad Hockley 73, Troy Collison, Andy Phelps 74, David Bradshaw, Alan Wood, Sean Constable, Tony O’Neill 75, Col Solway, Damien Collison, Cliff Cooper and Les Cottam 76.
On Sunday, in the final round of the Championships, the Phelps Trophy was won by Troy Collison with a fabulous 64 nett.
The runner up was Andy Phelps on 67 but Mac Dawson, nett 72, was the fortunate recipient when Phelps donated the trophy back.
Mick Reynolds cleaned up both NTPs with 1.81 metres on the 2nd/11th and 2.05 metres on the 8th/17th.
The ball winners were: Troy Collison 64, Andy Phelps 67, Mac Dawson 72, Scott Reid, Mick Alsleben, Mick Reynolds 73, Les Cottam and Trevor Wilson 76.

The top eight in each grade now head into the Match Play Championships.
On Saturday October 31, an 18 Hole Individual and 2B Stableford will be played for the Scott Lye and Trevor Wilson Trophy.
November 7 will be a Stroke/Stableford for the Monthly Mug and it is also the “Mug Of Mugs” day.
Last Thursday it was an ideal day for golf as the ladies played an 18 Hole Stableford for the Sarah Howey Trophy.
Jo Brown played some fine golf to have 43 points and easily win the day.
Runner up was Noreen Marshall who had 39 points.
Both have consequently lost a shot in handicap.
Ball winners were Narelle Rutter 37, Sarah Brooks, Ruth Wallace, Sheena Carter 34 and Julie Leckie 33 c/b. Kathy Robinson won the NTP on the 2nd/11th hole.
Today, the President V Secretary teams day will be played as an 18 Hole Stableford.
Next Thursday the event is an 18 Hole Stroke for the Medals of Medals playoff.
The HRDGA Ladies Champion of Champions day and Medal playoffs will be held at Branxton on Monday.
