Work started in July on the construction of a 2.5 metre shared user path combining both 345 lineal metres of concrete and 155 lineal metres of elevated sections made from fibre enforced plastic.
On Tuesday Shoalhaven Mayor, Joanna Gash inspected the ongoing works and was on hand to view the pouring of concrete as part of the path construction.
“The startof the concrete pouring represents yet another significant milestone in the time frame of this exciting project,”Cr Gash said.
“I was very excited to be able to walk much of the route and inspect the works that have been undertaken over the past few months.
“With the startof the concrete pour itis certainly easy to gain a picture of what the finished project will look like.
“The pathway has been designed in such a way to take advantage of the amazing views of Jervis Bay and surrounding bushland.”
The recent east coast low weather event has pushed the project completion date back until February.
