THIS Sunday provides a rare opportunity to take a 45 minute walk into Bowral’s past.
The Mount Gibralter committee has invited the community to take the quarries walk with a guide this Sunday between 10-12 noon.
To see the 60 metre cliffs of Bowral Trachyte glistening amongst the trees is magnificent and the committee has managed to place photographs from the past along the path.
My husband and I were involved in the trial walk last week and we were impressed by the work of the Bushcare committee keeping the bush free of weeds.
It’s a lovely bush walk, probably a level three on our scale as it does have two sets of rock steps with about 15 in each set.
I encourage you to take part with your friends and family.
You can park, for the walk, in the parking area just off Oxley Drive, Bowral, between the reservoir and the preschool.
Just drive in the driveway marked Mount Gibralter Reserve as the committee want to limit parking on Oxley Drive.
